Indian hospital offers stereotactic radiosurgery from Varian
Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, India, has treated a 65–year old inoperable lung cancer patient with stereotactic radiosurgery via RapidArc technology from Varian Medical Systems.
RapidArc radiosurgery--which offers 10-minute sessions and fewer treatment sessions--has allowed physicians at the facility to begin treating a second lung cancer patient and two pancreatic cancer patients, said Palo Alto, Calif.-based Varian.
