Nuance snags Janet Dillione from Siemens to run healthcare unit

Voice recognition services developer Nuance Communications has appointed Janet Dillione as executive vice president and general manager of Nuance’s Healthcare business segment.

Dillione will help to lead the company’s healthcare unit, which will include assisting healthcare organizations with documenting, sharing and utilizing clinical information, said Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance.

Prior to this appointment, Dillione held the position of CEO of health services at Malvern, Pa.-based Siemens Healthcare. Before joining Siemens in 2000, Dillione held a number of leadership positions at Shared Medical Systems, including product management, marketing and sales management.
