Prague facility deploys Elekta rad onc tools

Elekta will provide treatment planning and oncology information management systems for the Proton Therapy Center Czech S.R.O. in Prague, Czech Republic.

In addition to Mosaiq, its oncology information system, the Stockholm, Sweden-based company said the center will also be equipped with the XiO system with dose calculation algorithms. Mosaiq, as well as XiO treatment planning software from Elekta are designed to support different types of radiation systems and modalities, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).
