Rad oncology group chooses Elekta

ProCure Treatment Centers has selected Elekta to provide software and treatment planning systems for its second IBA-equipped proton therapy center, which is under construction in suburban Chicago. ProCure collaborates with radiation oncology practices and hospitals to build and operate proton therapy centers.

Supporting the workflow, the solutions--which includes the image-enabled oncology information system Mosaiq, as well as the XiO treatment planning system--will enable the facility to treat patients in a paperless environment, according to the Stockholm, Sweden-based Elekta.
