RadQual launches dose calibrator reference standard

RadQual, a developer of quality control products for nuclear medicine, SPECT and PET imaging, has released a dose calibrator standard traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for measurement of gallium-68 and fluorine-18 for up to 1 millicurie (37 MBq) strength.

The new RadQual dose calibrator standard can help provide PET scan manufacturers and end users a dose calibrator standard to ensure compliance with many state and federal regulatory standards for calibration of patient dose measurement, according to the Weare, N.H.-based company, adding that it worked with NIST to establish a proper dose calibrator standard.
