Siemens, Candelis strike RT PACS distribution deal

Medical informatics company Candelis said it plans to distribute and sell the ImageGrid PACS-RT Appliance and the ImageGrid RT Viewer through Siemens Healthcare’s oncology care systems business unit.

According to Siemens, the ImageGrid PACS-RT Appliance is compliant with the DICOM and DICOM-RT standard and accelerates the retrieval and routing of data and images among radiation therapy and oncology facilities as well as with referring physicians.

The ImageGrid PACS-RT Appliance provides a scalable storage solution to accommodate a large volume of image and data files being generated by high-resolution imaging technology, according to the companies.
