Varian adds treatment room for Munich center

Medical device and software manufacturer Varian Medical Systems has commissioned a second treatment gantry room for the Rinecker Proton Therapy Center in Munich.

With the additional treatment room, the German clinic has doubled its capacity, which will allow for the delivery of intensity modulated proton therapy using pencil-beam scanning technology from Palo Alto, Calif- based Varian to more patients, said the center.
