Physicians utilize medical imaging to see inside the body to diagnose and treat patients. This includes computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, angiography,  and the nuclear imaging modalities of PET and SPECT. 

AMI nets $200K for PET & PET/CT research

The Academy of Molecular Imaging (AMI) has reported a gift of $200,000 from the Phelps Family Foundation to support further awareness and education related to PET and PET/CT diagnostic applications.

Philips recalls CO2 Line

Philips Healthcare has initiated a voluntary global recall of devices to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) exhaled by infant and neonatal patients, due to concern that patients could inhale dislodged plastic strands found in defective products, which could result in serious injury or death.
